We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Activity Coordinator to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a range of social, creative, and therapeutic activities for older adults with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a programme of activities that promote social inclusion and support the recovery journey of service users.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that activities are tailored to meet the needs of individual service users.
- Facilitate groups and individual activities that promote social skills, creativity, and well-being.
- Use a range of resources and materials to engage service users and support their recovery.
- Work with the Occupational Therapist and other members of the team to ensure that activities are aligned with the service user's care plan.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make recommendations for improvement.
- Previous experience of working in a mental health setting, preferably with older adults.
- Experience of working within a team setting and ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Ability to plan, facilitate, and evaluate activities with individuals and groups.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of a range of activities that can be applied within a ward setting.
- Ability to work flexibly and accommodate the needs of service users and the demands of the ward.
- English GCSE or equivalent.
- Training relevant to a mental health setting.
- Knowledge of personal recovery principles and their application to service delivery.
