Hours: Monday – Friday (early finish on Friday)

Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays

The Role:
Our client, Pertemps, is experiencing significant growth and is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join their team in Chester. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all accounts receivable transactions are handled with efficiency and accuracy. The successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining the sales ledger with a high degree of precision, minimizing aged debt, and fostering regular communication with clients through both phone and written correspondence. Additional responsibilities will include providing support to the wider finance team with various accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing cash receipts and forecasting
  • Handling credit notes and manual invoices as necessary
  • Managing the collection of outstanding debts, including complex construction accounts
  • Reporting on outstanding debts
  • Maintaining positive relationships and communication with both external and internal stakeholders

  • Posting financial transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping
  • Offering supportive assistance across the finance team and ledgers as required
  • Performing any additional duties as assigned by the Management Accountant (full training will be provided)


The Person:
The ideal candidate will have robust experience in credit control and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles. They should be adept at building trust and rapport with various stakeholders, including clients and internal teams. A proactive mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role. Flexibility, effective prioritization, and teamwork are also key attributes. Experience with Sage Line 200 is beneficial but not mandatory, while strong Excel skills are essential.
