We are seeking a dedicated individual who possesses adaptability and resolve, alongside the capability to cultivate strategic and collaborative relationships with a diverse array of relevant stakeholders.

A self-starter, you will thrive both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a commitment to achieving outcomes that reinforce Action Hampshire's standing as a reliable and impactful provider of funded initiatives and services.

Your alignment with Action Hampshire's core values, along with a genuine understanding and empathy for the culture and principles of the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector, is essential.

As a Community Engagement Project Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the formulation and execution of projects and partnerships at Action Hampshire.

You will collaborate with fellow specialists to contribute to the creation of new project proposals, serve as a project sponsor, and lead the execution of designated community initiatives, while engaging with key stakeholders and partners within your area of expertise.

We particularly encourage applicants with experience or a keen interest in volunteer recruitment and coordination, aimed at establishing and expanding our internal volunteer program.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Collaborate effectively as part of various project delivery teams to ensure the successful design and implementation of initiatives.
  • Develop opportunities for volunteers and ambassadors to engage with projects.
  • Manage relationships with a broad spectrum of stakeholders across public, private, and voluntary sectors.
  • Represent and advocate for the charity and the VCSE sector at partnership or public meetings and events.
  • Provide coaching and managerial support to project staff and volunteers.
  • Identify and secure funding for new and ongoing initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization and foster relationships with our members and users.

For nearly 75 years, Action Hampshire has been a steadfast supporter of VCSE organizations.

We achieve this by offering information, peer networking opportunities, and assistance with amplification, sector insights, and a platform for advocacy.

Our research enhances understanding of the VCSE sector, and we host forums and networks that connect and support organizations.

There has never been a more thrilling time to join our talented, ambitious, and welcoming team. Our new three-year strategy outlines clear objectives and actions that we will accomplish together. We are instilling a culture of learning, experimentation, and development. Our team is compassionate, collaborative, and driven by our values of being bold, enterprising, informative, and empowering.

We warmly welcome applications from all community members, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, faith, or disability.

We are proud to be a Living Wage employer and Disability Confident.
