About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Consultant to join our Financial Advisory Restructuring Tax team at Pembroke Communications. As a Senior Tax Advisor, you will play a key role in providing tax advice on the restructuring of financially distressed businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our financial advisory colleagues and external stakeholders to understand the complex commercial and legal requirements of each restructuring transaction.
  • Develop a strategy for achieving the commercial aims in a tax efficient manner and prepare reports setting out the steps necessary to meet the aims of the transaction.
  • Act as the in-house tax team for businesses undergoing insolvency, providing advice to insolvency practitioners on the direct tax consequences of their intended actions.
  • Advise on the submission of tax returns and other documentation to tax authorities and liaise with them as required.
  • Contribute to the technical and personal development training of the broader team.
Requirements
  • Strong UK tax technical skills.
  • Strong communication, team playing, and project management skills.
