About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Technologist to join our team at LeMieux. As a key member of our Design team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and technical accuracy of our horse products and accessories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Coordination: Manage the fit and technical process of all horse products and accessories from initial sample to delivery handover.
  • Quality Assurance: Check the quality and makeup of samples across multiple product areas, and oversee all aspects of garment fit, testing, and wearer trials.
  • Communication: Relay fit comments and amendments to suppliers, and maintain accurate fit records.
  • Technical Pack Creation: Work with Design to create clear technical packs, including size specs and construction details, to ensure effective communication with suppliers.
  • Sampling and Testing: Monitor the sampling process, update critical path, and create test reports for approval.
  • Sample Library Management: Maintain a physical sample library and storage, and keep accurate logs of sample status.
  • Quality Control: Check incoming samples for measurement and design discrepancies, and assist in Quality Control to ensure product consistency.
  • Supplier Liaison: Daily liaison with overseas suppliers to ensure deadlines are met and the critical path stays up to date.
Requirements
  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in sports/equestrian wear product development.
  • Qualifications: Product/Garment Technologist Qualification or equivalent industry experience.
  • Technical Skills: Comprehensive understanding of garment fit, technical construction, and makeup, with confident grading and sizing skills.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Knowledge of pattern cutting, construction, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Overseas Experience: Experience working with overseas factories.
  • Time Management: Ability to follow and manage time according to the critical path.
  • CAD Skills: CAD skills and experience using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop would be an advantage.
  • Software Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Communication and Organisation: Strong communicator with excellent organisation skills.
  • Flexibility: Flexible attitude to work, with the ability to adjust to the constantly changing needs of the business.
  • Initiative and Teamwork: Ability to take initiative in any given role, and willingness to assist where necessary, as well as work effectively within a team and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Equestrian Background: An equestrian background is not essential, but being passionate about product and taking an interest in the equestrian world is essential.
