Band 6 Assistant Service Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Assistant Service Manager to join our Cancer Services team at The Royal Free. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the operational management of our cancer services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and excellent outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Service Manager in the operational management of the service, including providing leadership and expert guidance to the MDT team.
- Work closely with services to deliver improvements to cancer care, ensuring the development and implementation of effective policies and procedures.
- Line manage the Cancer Service MDT Coordinator Team, ensuring the effective recruitment, induction, training, and development of all non-clinical staff within departments across the Group.
- Provide leadership and take line management responsibility (direct and delegated) for staff within cancer services, ensuring the effective implementation of Trust HR policies.
- Develop and implement training, in use and dissemination of consistent data definitions, systematic collection systems, and audit systems, waiting times adjustments, and cancer waiting times national definitions.
- Experience of collecting, analysing, and presenting complex data to inform service improvements.
- High-quality written and verbal communication skills.
- Typing, data entry, and data manipulation skills.
- Excellent level of computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheet, and databases.
- Experience of report writing and presentation of data.
