Position: Electrical Technician
Salary: Up to £36K Per Annum + Annual Bonus + Overtime (OTE £40K+)

We are collaborating with a specialized organization that encompasses a diverse array of engineering functions, including:
manufacturing, design, repair, service, installation, and supply. We are seeking an Electrical Technician to work closely with the Senior Electrical Engineer. This role will be dynamic and will encompass various responsibilities such as panel assembly, servicing, maintenance, installation, and commissioning.

There will be a combination of workshop-based tasks and assignments at client locations.

While we do not require candidates with an industrial background, experience in these fields is advantageous. We are willing to offer training and development for individuals with a solid electrical foundation, even if their experience is primarily in domestic settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute electrical builds, repairs, fault diagnosis, commissioning, and installations both in our workshop and on-site as necessary.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams to establish the layout of electrical wiring.
  • Test electrical control systems and components to verify correct configuration.
  • Diagnose faults in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using various diagnostic tools.
  • Test and document electrical components of hydraulic/pneumatic systems and compressors in both the workshop and at client sites.
  • Be prepared to respond to breakdowns at short notice; some overtime and weekend work may be required.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience as an electrician or electrical technician.
  • Proficient in the use of power and hand tools for electrical tasks.
  • Must possess a valid UK driving license for a minimum of three years.
Additional Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, regulations, and procedures:
  • Familiarity with machinery directives and safety standards.
  • ECS gold card - Maintenance or installation electrician.
  • Knowledge of PLC control systems; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • NVQ Level 3.
