About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Graduate Research Assistant to support the delivery of a randomised controlled trial to test the effectiveness of a new treatment for depression called Mindfulness for Adolescents and Carers (MAC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of the MAC trial, including recruitment and assessment of young people and carers, intervention delivery, and data entry and management.
  • Liaise with the wider study team, including collaborators at the University of Exeter and other universities and NHS trusts.
  • Communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically, and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies.
Requirements

The successful applicant will be educated to first degree level or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study or equivalent experience and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and motivated person with an interest in working with young people with mental health difficulties and in developing and evaluating new psychological interventions.
