Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Manager to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading our substation build team and working on UKPN's 11kV, 33kV & 132kV Distribution Network.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical Leadership: Provide technical support for the project teams and ensure that all technical aspects of the project are executed to the highest standard.
  2. Client Management: Attend client progress meetings, pre-start meetings, and client audits as required to ensure that client expectations are met.
  3. Innovation and Cost-Effectiveness: Encourage and integrate innovation and cost-effective working methods across the contracts to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  4. Design and Testing: Identify and resolve design issues raised on site and conform to Distribution Network Operator standards. Produce detailed commissioning plans and test and commission high voltage plant and apparatus on the 11kV, 33kV, and 132kV networks.
  5. Team Management: Provide technical support for projects at the concept stage to ensure robust, cost-effective build solutions. Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standard.

Requirements

  1. Qualifications: Qualified to HNC / Degree Level in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Candidates with other recognised qualifications will be considered if they can demonstrate they have worked in a similar environment.
  2. Skills and Knowledge: Able to identify and develop processes within operations to improve outputs. The ability to communicate and engage with internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of current legislation relating to health, safety, and environment. Ability to work within a team environment including clients, designers, and site project staff. Full driving license.
