About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Tesco. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the management of our modern pharmacies and providing excellent customer service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Supporting the management of our pharmacies and ensuring the smooth operation of our dispensing processes.
  • Providing accurate and efficient dispensing of prescription medicines to our customers.
  • Offering expert advice and guidance to customers on common ailments, symptoms, and products.
  • Working closely with our pharmacy team to ensure that our customers receive the best possible service.
  • Assessing the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions and ensuring that all dispensary routines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
  • Supporting the Pharmacy Manager and Duty Pharmacy Manager with the supervision and development of other members of the pharmacy team.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A pharmacy technician/accuracy checking technician NVQ (or similar) qualification.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician/Accuracy Checking Technician.
  • Proof of completion of a recognised training course for an Accuracy Checking Technician/Pharmacy Technician.
  • Proof of completing your annual Continuing Professional Development requirements.
