Job Title: Senior Procurement Manager

London Business School is seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Manager to join our team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Associate Director, Procurement to ensure that the Procurement function provides exceptional customer service, supports best procurement practice, and drives continuous improvement to achieve the School's objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Process complex data, apply technical knowledge, and conduct root cause analysis to identify solutions to complex issues and unique requests from students, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Extract data from multiple sources, check its integrity, and produce reports for management.
  • Analyze expenditure profiles to reduce duplication, streamline processes, improve value for money, and make commercial decisions.
  • Manage procurement governance and risk processes to ensure timely decision-making and appropriate risk management.
  • Lead specific projects, tenders, and contract reviews, ensuring all sourcing activity complies with School policies and legislation.
  • Represent the team to colleagues, stakeholders, and cross-School groups, enabling cross-department working and identifying opportunities for collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable procurement experience, including tenders on multiple different values.
  • Motivation to drive change and work with stakeholders to deliver value to the School.
  • Higher Education background preferred but not essential.
  • Good leadership skills and adaptability.
  • Sound working knowledge of policies, regulations, and legislation in the area of specialism.
  • Ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of business education/specialist area.
  • Experience of leading projects.
  • Experience in effectively managing external suppliers/contractors.
  • Financial management experience and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.
