As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering service users to manage their conditions effectively and lead fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with service users and their families to develop and implement personalized care plans that address their unique needs and goals.
  • Provide practical and emotional support, assisting with daily living activities, medication management, and attending appointments as required.
  • Monitor the well-being of service users, identifying any changes in their condition or behavior and promptly reporting concerns to the appropriate team members.
  • Facilitate social interaction and engagement by participating in group activities and outings, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive environment, fostering trust and open communication with service users and their families.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with mental health needs and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with service users and their families.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, ensuring that care plans are implemented effectively and efficiently.
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills within a dynamic and evolving healthcare setting.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent qualification, or a commitment to working towards this qualification.
