The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with licensed electricians, providing crucial support in the setup of electrical systems and containment solutions, which include conduit, basket, tray, and trunking.

This position demands a solid grasp of electrical containment techniques, a meticulous approach to work, and the capability to maintain high standards.

A valid CSCS card is required for this position.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Installation Support:
  • Aid in the installation of various electrical containment systems such as conduit, basket, tray, and trunking.
  • Ensure that all installations meet the highest standards, aligning with the specifications and quality expectations of upscale retail fit-outs.
* Assistance to Electricians:
  • Support electricians in tasks such as pulling cables, wiring, and securing electrical components.
  • Prepare necessary materials and tools as directed by the lead electrician to enhance on-site efficiency.
* Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow health and safety regulations consistently, ensuring a secure working environment.
  • Keep the work area tidy and organized, promoting safety for all personnel on site.
* Troubleshooting:
  • Recognize and report any issues or inconsistencies in installations to the site supervisor.
  • Actively contribute to resolving on-site challenges.
* Record Keeping and Reporting:
  • Maintain precise records of completed work, including daily logs and materials utilized.
  • Document any incidents or near misses in accordance with company protocols.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • CSCS Card: Must possess a valid and current CSCS card.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience as an electrical installation assistant, particularly in upscale retail fit-outs or comparable projects.
  • Containment Knowledge: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with the installation of containment systems including conduit, basket, tray, and trunking.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team, taking guidance and providing support as necessary.
  • Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and site supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant Training: Additional certifications or training in electrical installations, health and safety, or specific containment systems are advantageous.
  • Driving License: A full, clean driving license is a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Capability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, carrying, and working in various positions (standing, kneeling, etc.).
  • Comfort working in diverse environments, including heights and confined spaces.

Work Environment:

  • The role involves participation in upscale retail fit-outs, often under strict deadlines.
  • The position may require early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekend shifts based on project needs.
