Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Mate to join our team for high-end shop fit-out projects. The successful candidate will work alongside qualified electricians, providing essential support in the installation of electrical systems and containment solutions, including conduit, basket, tray, and trunking. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical containment practices, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work to a high standard. An up-to-date CSCS card is mandatory for this role.
Key Responsibilities:

Containment Installation:
* Assist in the installation of various types of electrical containment systems such as conduit, basket, tray, and trunking.
* Ensure all installations are carried out to the highest standard, meeting the specifications and quality expectations of high-end shop fit-outs.

Support Qualified Electricians:
* Provide assistance to electricians with pulling cables, wiring, and fixing electrical components.
* Prepare materials and tools as required by the lead electrician, ensuring efficiency on-site.

Compliance and Safety:
* Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times, ensuring a safe working environment.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring it is safe for all site personnel.

Problem Solving:
* Identify and report any issues or discrepancies in installations to the site supervisor.
* Proactively assist in finding solutions to on-site challenges.

Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintain accurate records of work completed, including daily logs and materials used.
* Report any incidents or near misses in accordance with company procedures.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
* CSCS Card: Must hold a valid and up-to-date CSCS card.
* Experience: Proven experience working as an electrical mate, specifically within high-end shop fit-outs or similar projects.
* Containment Expertise: Strong knowledge and practical experience with the installation of containment systems including conduit, basket, tray, and trunking.
* Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, taking direction and offering support where needed.
* Attention to Detail: High level of precision and commitment to quality work.
* Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with team members and site supervisors.
Desirable:
* Relevant Training: Additional certifications or training in electrical installations, health and safety, or specific containment systems.
* Driving License: A full, clean driving license is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, carrying, and working in various positions (standing, kneeling, etc.).
* Comfortable working in different environments, including heights and confined spaces.
Working Conditions:
* The role involves working on high-end retail shop fit-outs, often under tight deadlines.
* The work may require early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekend shifts depending on project requirements
