Job Title: Civil and Structural Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil and Structural Engineer to bolster and enhance our team's design projects with project management and consultancy. As a key member of our team, you will work on varied and interesting projects involving a selection of both office-based activities and occasional site-based working.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project development through the design and tendering phases
  • Providing technical support during the construction of new power stations and low carbon facilities
  • Structural appraisals and inspections of structures
  • Assessing the condition of assets or being involved with plant modifications or major repairs
  • Delivering engineering solutions safely, on time, and to budget
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience within Civil/Structural Engineering and with a broad design background in the design of steel and reinforced concrete structures
  • Proven experience in developing projects from concept through to detailed design stage
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to identify design improvements at all stages of project development
  • Ability to clearly communicate to both design engineers and project directors on technical matters in a written form and verbally
  • Project management experience and ability to manage others both internally and external consultants
