Job Title: Civil and Structural Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Civil and Structural Engineer, where you will play a key role in bolstering and enhancing our design projects with project management and consultancy expertise.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil and Structural Engineer to join our fast-paced team. As a key member of our team, you will work on varied and interesting projects involving a selection of both office-based activities and occasional site-based working.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project development through the design and tendering phases
  • Providing technical support during the construction of new power stations and low carbon facilities
  • Structural appraisals and inspections of structures, and assisting with assessing the condition of the asset or plant modifications or major repairs
  • Delivering engineering solutions safely, on time, and to budget that meet the evolving needs of our customers
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience within Civil/Structural Engineering and with a broad design background in the design of steel and reinforced concrete structures
  • Proven experience in developing projects from concept through to detailed design stage
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to identify design improvements at all stages of project development
  • Ability to clearly communicate to both design engineers and project directors on technical matters in a written form and verbally
  • Project management experience and ability to manage others both internally and external consultants
