Principal Therapist (12 Month Temporary Secondee)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Therapist to join our Medical & Surgical Therapies Team at the University Hospital of North Midlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing staff and services, working closely with the broader therapy management team across Royal Stoke & County sites.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the therapy management team in the development and implementation of therapy services
  • Lead and manage a team of therapists to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the development of therapy policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy
  • Registered with HCPC
  • Evidence of personal and professional development
  • Post holder committed to working at masters level
  • Post graduate (NHS) experience with considerable experience in specialty area
  • Experience of working as an Advanced Therapist leading and managing a team
  • Experience of teaching students, staff, and other professional groups
  • Experience gained within an acute setting
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Experience of working at senior management level (band 8a or above)
Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrate critical appraisal skills
  • Evidence of project work
