Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Therapist to join our Medical & Surgical Therapies Team at the University Hospital of North Midlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing staff and services, working closely with the broader therapy management team across Royal Stoke & County sites.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the development of therapy services and staff
  • Collaborate with other Principal Therapists and Divisional Therapy managers
  • Provide continuous development through appraisal, internal training, and external learning
About the Role

This is a 12-month temporary secondment cover position, providing an excellent opportunity for a motivated and forward-thinking individual to make a significant impact on our therapy services.

Person Specification
  • Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy
  • Registered with HCPC
  • Evidence of personal & professional development
  • Post holder committed to working at masters level
Requirements
  • Post graduate (NHS) experience with considerable experience in speciality area
  • Experience of working as an Advanced Therapist leading and managing a team
  • Experience of teaching students, staff, and other professional groups
  • Experience gained within an acute setting
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Experience of working at senior management level (band 8a or above)
