Job Board Direct is seeking a skilled and meticulous Electrical Estimator to enhance our team. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in electrical cost estimation, ideally with hands-on experience, enabling them to assess project needs, generate precise cost assessments, and collaborate effectively with project managers and preconstruction personnel.
We are open to considering less experienced estimators who are eager to advance from an electrician role.
Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Estimator:
- Evaluate electrical schematics, specifications, and related documents to create thorough and compliant cost estimates.
- Work alongside project managers, engineers, and clients to grasp project scope and specifications.
- Identify and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive offers.
- Draft detailed and precise bid proposals based on tender documents.
- Monitor and oversee project expenditures, ensuring alignment with budget forecasts.
- Provide technical assistance during the bidding phase and post-bid clarification processes.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Engage in project handover meetings to facilitate a seamless transition from estimation to execution.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders, promoting the organization to prospective clients.
- Demonstrated experience as an Electrical Estimator within the construction or electrical sector, or a willingness to learn.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical and numerical abilities.
- Strong focus on detail and precision.
- Capability to perform under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
