We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Nicor Construction. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of individual projects, ensuring commercial and contractual targets are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and submission of tenders, payment applications, and final accounts
  • Liaising with clients and other parties on commercial issues
  • Commercial management of projects from pre-tender to client handover
  • Ensuring effective interaction between Director, QS, and Contracts Manager
  • Agreeing specification and budget for new projects
  • Sub-contracting letting, negotiation, and financial accounting
  • Issuing Early Warnings and valuing Compensation Events in line with NEC 3 requirements
  • Overseeing payment applications and final accounts
  • Attending client meetings and building strong client relationships
Requirements
  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge and understanding of sub-contractor management
  • Commercially and operationally aware on delivery of works
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • IT literate Microsoft Office Package
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience of Public Sector contracts
  • Knowledge of NEC 3 contracts
  • Microsoft Project
