Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at VanRath. As a leading engineering company, we deliver innovative construction solutions across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and Great Britain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors to secure competitive tenders for projects.
  • Conduct on-site measurements and ensure accurate valuations of works completed.
  • Coordinate work efforts to meet client requirements and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Liaise with clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers to ensure information, costs, and profitability meet project requirements.
  • Compile subcontract orders for approval and process payments to subcontractors.
  • Reconcile costs and values to keep management informed of project performance.
  • Work closely with contract and site management staff to support the smooth running of the office and site.
Requirements:
  • Open to varying experience as a QS within the construction industry.
  • Highly motivated and hard-working individual who can work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated with a 'can-do' approach to work and willingness to learn and assist.
