Strategic Finance Manager - Gross Margin

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Finance Manager to join our team in Nottingham. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading the analysis and accounting of energy revenue, cost of sales, and gross margin delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead in the analysis and accounting of energy revenue and cost of sales to ensure rigorous gross margin accounting practices are embedded.
  • Support the preparation of forecast, target setting, budgets, and 5-year plans, including gathering inputs through engagement with the business, reporting draft and final outcomes, and commentary.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams for the production and monitoring of growth and portfolio dynamics.
  • Work with the Data Team to improve Gross Margin data integrity, accuracy, and granularity, ensuring the use of quality structured datasets to provide business insight and visibility.
  • Provide financial advice and insight to business leaders for improved gross margin.
  • Adopt a continuous improvement mindset to drive process improvements, collaborating with the Transformation team to digitalise and automate activity.

Requirements

  • CIMA/ACA, MBA, or top-tier strategy consulting experience.
