About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team at NewOrbit Space. As an Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of our air-breathing electric propulsion technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and test electronic circuits for sensing, real-time monitoring, communicating, and controlling various subsystems of the air-breathing propulsion system.
  • Develop and implement complex control algorithms using FPGAs, MCUs, and other electronics lab equipment.
  • Collaborate with our power and propulsion scientists and engineers to develop our flagship satellite for ultra-low Earth Orbit (ULEO) missions.
  • Contribute to the development of our air-breathing propulsion system, including research and development projects.
Requirements
  • Advanced university degree in electronics or a relevant field (MEng, MSc, or PhD).
  • Excellent understanding of digital and analogue electronics, control systems, and electronics lab equipment.
  • Experience with PCB design, schematic, and layout using Altium.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team-working skills.
  • Enthusiasm for space science and technology.
