Prince of Wales Drive operates as an Extra Care facility for seniors, featuring 59 self-contained apartments and focusing on providing comprehensive, integrated care and assistance to elderly individuals with various support needs. These needs may encompass dementia, mental health challenges, physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and complex health conditions.
We seek calm, resourceful, and dynamic Support Care Assistants who are highly motivated, diligent, and eager to assist older adults in a proactive and holistic manner. Candidates should possess strong skills in positive communication and engagement, demonstrating unwavering respect and care for all service users. You will aid individuals at our Battersea service in maintaining their mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Collaborating with the individual's support network, you will empower them to lead fulfilling, healthy lives and achieve their personal goals.
You should be prepared to embrace all facets of the Support Care Assistant role, which includes, but is not limited to, assisting with personal care, household tasks, and facilitating access to work, education, and social activities. We value the unique skills and interests you bring to the position and to the lives of those we support, such as sports, outdoor activities, creative arts, music, and cooking.
Flexibility is essential, as the role requires working on a roster basis, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. Previous experience working with vulnerable adults is a prerequisite.
We offer the option of either weekly or monthly pay based on the candidate's preference.
