Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to become an integral part of our delivery teams at Rightmove. Our mission is to enhance the process of finding a home, making it more efficient and enjoyable for our users. Our Java-based microservices utilize technologies such as Oracle DB, Elastic Search, Kafka, and Couchbase to ensure seamless delivery of our products and features.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote best practices across all areas and foster a culture of quality within the team.
- Create a collaborative environment where all team members share accountability for quality.
- Facilitate refinement sessions, ensuring comprehensive coverage of acceptance criteria, implementation details, risks, and monitoring strategies.
- Assist the team in understanding and estimating testing efforts and dependencies during planning sessions.
- Analyze requirements to identify gaps, potential user impacts, risks, and dependencies on internal or external services.
- Review designs to ensure features are accessible and inclusive.
- Collaborate with engineers during development and code reviews to guarantee adequate test coverage and prevent redundant efforts.
- Ensure our automation testing framework is efficient, relevant, and resilient.
- Work with the team to diagnose issues using logs, Elastic Search, and databases.
- Manage QA ceremonies effectively, including bug backlog and triage processes.
- Engage with broader Rightmove teams and stakeholders on various initiatives.
- Enhance QA processes across Rightmove by collaborating with the QA community.
- Contribute actively to our QA community by sharing insights and learning from peers.
