Subject Improvement Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Subject Improvement Lead for Humanities. This is an exciting opportunity to drive improved attainment in humanities subjects across our secondary schools, through embedding best practice and building capacity in line with our policies and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve teaching, learning, and curriculum in humanities subjects across our secondary schools.
- Collaborate with school leaders and subject leaders to build capacity and embed best practice in humanities subjects.
- Analyze assessment data to identify and close gaps in learning, and develop targeted interventions to support student progress.
- Design and deliver high-impact training and coaching programs for humanities teachers to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Work closely with our schools to develop and implement effective curriculum designs and pedagogical approaches in humanities subjects.
- A degree in a humanities subject, along with Qualified Teacher Status.
- A national professional qualification (NPQ) in middle or senior leadership.
- An in-depth knowledge of exam specifications in humanities subjects.
- Experience of delivering outstanding results consistently and a track record of improving results as a humanities subject leader.
- Experience of developing and delivering high-impact intervention programs.
- The ability to analyze assessment data and use it effectively to identify and close gaps in learning.
- Successfully delivered training and coaching for humanities teachers.
- Passion for securing life-changing outcomes for young people in disadvantaged communities.
