Key ResponsibilitiesYou will provide support across all our ophthalmology services as needed, and we encourage rotational work through various service departments, from outpatient care to day case procedures, to enhance your development and experience.
Outpatient Services - Responsible for delivering a range of assistance to specialized services within ophthalmic outpatient clinics, including chaperone duties to support our patients and clinicians, conducting various visual assessments, and aiding our nurse-led injection clinics.
Day Case Unit & Emergency Eye Clinic - Preparing patients for surgical procedures and facilitating discharges from the department with a holistic approach to care; ensuring patients receive safe, personalized, and effective care throughout their visit while acting as their advocate.
You must demonstrate strong communication skills, be a compassionate and diligent professional, and be committed to working in a busy and often challenging environment, assisting the team in delivering exceptional patient care.
Effective time management skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritize your tasks.
You will also engage in service enhancements and participate in relevant meetings.
