Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Pharmacy Support Officer to join our team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in pharmacy services and be committed to delivering excellent patient care.
Main Responsibilities
- To provide administrative and technical support to the pharmacy team, including filing and updating records, and assisting with stock control.
- To assist with the delivery of pharmaceutical products and drug requisitions to wards and departments.
- To receive and check medications from suppliers, and update the pharmacy stock control system.
- To assemble and check pharmaceutical products for distribution.

Person Specification
Essential
- Good general education (GCSEs in English and Mathematics or equivalent).
- Hold or be able to commit to completing an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services.
Desirable
- Stores/stock control awareness.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety at work, including COSHH and Manual Handling.
- Work experience in a hospital, healthcare, or pharmacy setting.
