About the Role
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Pharmacy Support Officer to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Pharmacy Support Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy team in providing excellent patient care.
Main Responsibilities
- To carry out routine technical duties in the Stores and Distribution areas as required.
- To assist with filing and updating records, including computer data.
- To provide a responsive drug delivery service as required by the trust.
- To assemble, check, and distribute pharmaceutical products, drug requisitions, and duties involving ward visits.
- To receive medications from pharmaceutical suppliers, checking for accuracy and receiving into the pharmacy stock control system.

Person Specification
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Good general education (GCSEs in English and Mathematics or equivalent).
- Hold or be able to commit to completing an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services.
- Basic computer skills.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Stores/stock control awareness.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety at work, including COSHH and Manual Handling.
- Work experience in a hospital, healthcare, or pharmacy setting.
