Job Description

Job Title: Nurse Unit Manager - Leadership Role

Job Summary:

Exemplar Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead our team at Lepton Heights. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and management to our nursing and care staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of nursing and care staff to deliver high-quality care to residents
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of residents
  • Oversee and manage the clinical elements of the unit, including medication management and risk assessments
  • Act as the Named Nurse for residents allocated to your unit, with responsibility for their care and well-being
  • Supervise and manage the ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording, and disposal of medication
  • Collaborate with other members of the management team to ensure the smooth operation of the unit

Requirements:

  • First-level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN
  • Post-registration and management or supervisory experience and/or training or qualifications
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to work confidently on your own initiative
  • Good standard of digital skills
