Project Engineer - HVAC Specialist

Distinct Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team in the Building Management Services industry. As a Project Engineer, you will utilize your Mechanical Engineering experience and knowledge to design, install, and commission projects.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Conducting site surveys to identify the most efficient and effective solutions for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Installing and commissioning HVAC components to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Performing quality checks to guarantee that systems are working efficiently and safely, helping clients to reduce their energy consumption.
  • Developing project implementation plans to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Leading the activities of installation teams and other engineers to deliver successful projects.
  • Communicating effectively with clients to keep them informed of project progress and deliverables.
  • Delivering all projects on time and within budget.

Project Engineer requirements:

  • Proven experience as an HVAC Project Engineer and a deep understanding of relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • A clean enhanced DBS check and the ability to work on sites that require a clear DBS.
  • The ability to identify variations and additional works, and work with the sales/estimation team to price these accurately.
  • A high level of travel is required for this role, with at least 2 nights away from home.

Qualifications and experience:

  • A higher national diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, or relevant work experience and on-the-job training.
