About the Role
Southern Water is seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics and AI Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Data and Analytics function, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and managing our data and analytics architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a long-term technology strategy and innovation roadmap for data analytics and AI.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to build strong alignment with our strategic roadmap.
- Design and implement the logical enterprise data model for Southern Water.
- Work with the Data Governance team to identify and map data flows and data quality.
- Design the information architecture and its implementation into the Microsoft Azure Databricks platforms.
- Lead technical teams in data delivery implementation and support.
- Liaise with 3rd party product providers to understand future enhancements and communicate to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Excellent ability to interact with stakeholders and turn ideas into deliverable solutions.
- Experience in leading projects relating to system integration, data migration, and data warehousing.
- Strong understanding of cloud native computing, public hyperscalers, and enterprise integration patterns.
- At least five years of recent experience as a cloud data lake/warehouse architect, designer, developer, or data engineer.
- Architectural approach of designing data-driven IT systems, DevOps, and DataOps.
- Experience in end-to-end data solution architecture/design methods and patterns.
- Strong stakeholder management ethos and excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
