About the Role

Arbuthnot Yon is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lawyer to join our team as a key member of our in-house legal department. As a Commercial Lawyer, you will play a critical role in advising our business teams on a wide range of commercial matters, including contract negotiation, project management, and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead large-scale commercial projects with a value in the hundreds of millions, working closely with business teams to develop strategies, manage legal aspects, and draft and negotiate bids and tenders.
  • Contract Negotiation: Draft and negotiate high-value contracts for goods and services agreements, outsourcing agreements, consultancy and technology-related agreements.
  • Advisory Services: Provide expert advice on innovation projects, including joint ventures, collaborations, and spin-offs, as well as advise on GDPR-related risks and other ad-hoc legal areas such as IP, data protection, and disputes.
Requirements

We are looking for a Commercial Lawyer with at least 3-4 years of PQE gained in-house or in private practice, with strong commercial contract law skills and good negotiation skills. Experience in project management, procurement, IT, or data protection would be beneficial.
