Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at a leading Food Manufacturing company based in Telford. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with BRC Packaging standards, including GMP and hygiene audits.
  • Participate in the HACCP team and contribute to the development and implementation of HACCP plans.
  • Perform laboratory testing and analysis of plastic materials, including completing reports and supplier non-conformances.
  • Respond to customer queries and non-conformances, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement risk-based thinking and show initiative in identifying and mitigating quality and safety risks.
  • Monitor factory processes to ensure quality and safety compliance, including completing customer questionnaires and specifications.
  • Manage a daily auditing regime and attend daily, weekly, and monthly operations meetings.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including BRC, ISO 9001, and Ethical audits.
  • Supervise a small team of QA Technicians and provide cross-functional departmental interaction.
  • Contribute to the development of new business projects and provide support to maintaining ISO 14001.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager to maintain site standards and interact with B+K Group.

Requirements:

  • Experience in quality assurance in the packaging or food industry.
  • Internal Auditor qualification.
  • HACCP Level 3 minimum.
