Position Title: Water Management Field Specialist

Location: Stirling, Scotland

Employment Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week with opportunities for overtime

Compensation: £23,400 per annum

Role Summary: We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our expanding team. The position involves conducting field assessments across various locations, focusing on measuring water flow, depth, quality, and rainfall. Key responsibilities include the installation, operation, and maintenance of telemetry logging equipment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A strong enthusiasm for outdoor work in diverse weather conditions
  • Comfortable working in aquatic environments, with proficient swimming abilities
  • Confidence in performing tasks at heights and within confined spaces
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Awareness of safety protocols and potential hazards
  • GCSE qualifications or equivalent in Geography, Maths, and English, or a background in an environmental discipline
  • Experience with hands-on tasks, including the use of power and hand tools
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
  • Valid UK driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

Experience:

  • Comprehensive training will be provided; prior experience is not mandatory if essential skills are met
  • Familiarity with hydrometric field data collection is advantageous but not required

Desirable Qualifications:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant environmental field (e.g., Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, Outdoor Education)
