Job Title: Industrial Electrician

Join MDE Group UK as an Industrial Electrician and take on a challenging role that requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and a passion for maintaining complex industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled and planned maintenance repairs of equipment to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Attend emergency/unscheduled repairs of factory equipment during unplanned shutdowns, using your expertise to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Capable of repairing electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic devices, with a focus on preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment throughout the factory, including tasks such as changing contacts and checking motors.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to electrical failure, reporting conditions and recommending steps to be taken to prevent future issues.
Requirements:
  • A formal technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, such as NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 Electrical, HNC or equivalent.
  • A comprehensive understanding of condition-based plant monitoring systems and electrical preventative engineering principles.
  • General knowledge of industrial plant and process equipment, with the ability to install cables and conduit for new equipment or replacing old ones.
