We are currently in search of a Financial Reporting Manager to become a vital part of our finance team in Richmond.

This role will involve collaboration with the CFO, Financial Controller, and two Finance Assistants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and evaluation of monthly financial reports for stakeholders and senior management, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
  • Oversee the completion of month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate recording and timely reconciliation of all financial transactions while adhering to IFRS standards. This includes managing accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
  • Manage VAT submissions for UK and IE entities and assist with GST compliance for the AU entity.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during statutory audits, providing necessary documentation and insights to facilitate a seamless audit experience.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, deliver managerial insights, conduct variance analysis to clarify actual performance, and suggest corrective measures.
  • Oversee inventory management and reconciliation, including costing and item creation within our ERP system to ensure a cohesive connection between finance, supply chain, operations, commerce, reporting, and manufacturing.
  • Directly supervise two finance assistants, focusing on their training and performance review while ensuring they experience a high level of job satisfaction.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess experience in a comparable role within a group or conglomerate, with a background in mentoring junior staff. You should also have experience with:

  • CT/VAT/GST reporting (EU specific)
  • Multi-currency financial reporting
  • Commercial and operational knowledge of the manufacturing sector
  • Auditing processes
  • Payroll management
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified, Finalist, or Newly Qualified
  • Oracle NetSuite ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills (Xlookups, Sumifs, Pivot Tables, etc.)
