Job Title: Night Transport Operator

We are seeking a skilled Night Transport Operator to join our team at Maritime Transport. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of containers across our network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely delivery of containers
  • Communicate with ports to confirm delivery slots and schedules
  • Use our Transport system (TOPS) to manage driver start and finish times, and track container movements
  • Monitor driver ETAs and make adjustments as needed to ensure on-time delivery
  • Re-route jobs as required to optimize container movement
  • Verify PODs (Proof of Delivery) to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate with customers to advise on any delays or issues
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Transport Operator is essential
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business demands
