About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the Dispensary, working closely with the Technician and other team members to ensure the efficient and accurate dispensing of medication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Technician in the dispensing of medication for inpatient, outpatient, discharge, and Controlled Drug prescriptions.
  • Liaise with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Supervise and assist with the training of junior staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct a final accuracy check of medications to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
