About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to join our team at Rubicon Consulting. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems, including electrical panels, PLCs, and LV distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems, including electrical panels, PLCs, and LV distribution systems.
  • Work with production teams to ensure designs are implemented effectively.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver projects.
  • Develop technical solutions to meet project and customer expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety and environmental legislation.
  • Work towards achieving security clearance to SC level, and possibly DV.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree-level education or HND with additional experience in project implementation.
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Microsoft Office Word & Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills for client contact and mentoring.
  • Ability to mentor and develop engineers and technicians.
  • Thorough understanding of BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Understanding of IEC BS EN Low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies.
Desirable Requirements
  • Previous experience in a highly regulated industry.
  • Understanding of EMC practices.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineering status.
  • MEng qualification.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.
