Hardware Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to join our team at Rubicon Consulting. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems, including electrical panels, PLCs, and LV distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop electrical systems, including electrical panels, PLCs, and LV distribution systems.
- Work with production teams to ensure designs are implemented effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver projects.
- Develop technical solutions to meet project and customer expectations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and environmental legislation.
- Work towards achieving security clearance to SC level, and possibly DV.
- Relevant degree-level education or HND with additional experience in project implementation.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Microsoft Office Word & Excel.
- Excellent communication skills for client contact and mentoring.
- Ability to mentor and develop engineers and technicians.
- Thorough understanding of BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Understanding of IEC BS EN Low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies.
- Previous experience in a highly regulated industry.
- Understanding of EMC practices.
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineering status.
- MEng qualification.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to lead and work in a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
