Geriatric Medicine Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Geriatric Medicine Specialist to join our team at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Consultant Eldercare/Stroke, you will play a vital role in the Geriatrics Department, providing rehabilitation after illness and requiring a comprehensive knowledge of physical treatments, adaptations, and aids.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care, focusing on the needs of elderly patients with complex medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols, ensuring best practices in geriatric medicine.
  • Participate in educational programs, sharing expertise with colleagues and supporting the training of junior staff.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Geriatric Medicine.
  • Be a member of the relevant Royal College for Physicians.
  • Hold full GMC registration or be eligible for registration.
