Role Overview

As a Dispensing Optician at West Bridgford, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible eyewear solutions to meet their visual needs and preferences. You'll advise on lens options, coatings, and frames to suit different lifestyles and budgets, utilizing your expertise to deliver tailored and effective eyecare and eyewear solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance on eyewear selection, ensuring that customers receive the best possible solutions for their visual needs.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the store team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest products, trends, and technological advancements in the industry to provide customers with the best recommendations.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • A degree or diploma in Optometry or Ophthalmic Dispensing with registration on the General Optical Council.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate professional terminology into language understandable to patients.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in maintaining accurate customer records, prescriptions, and requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Confidence, passion, drive, and enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer service and achieving sales targets.
