Job Title: Purchase Ledger Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Ledger Manager to join our Finance team at Inspired Learning Group.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounts, reconciling systems and bank accounts, and monitoring purchase orders to ensure timely payments to suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and accounts payable/receivable
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate and timely payments to suppliers
  • Monitor purchase orders and ensure invoices are received and posted in a timely manner
  • Manage a small team of clerks and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger role, preferably in a similar industry
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in financial software and systems, including Excel and accounting packages
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
