About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Presales Engineer to join our team at Tate Recruitment. As a Presales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical sales support in the pre-sales phase, working closely with our sales and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend presales meetings and assess initial customer requirements
  • Analyse customer business and technical requirements, design technical solutions, and understand related operational processes
  • Design, size, and cost complex customer solutions, using multiple suppliers and technologies
  • Present individual solution concepts to customers
  • Define the design of customer pilots and technical management
  • Define requirements for, and negotiate with telecom suppliers
  • Provide support in testing new features, platforms, and products, including new hardware and software
  • Market intelligence gathering and analysis
  • Support the sales team in creating customer profiles

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in core network and access network design, connectivity technologies terrestrial, wireless (4G, 5G), and satellite implementation, and knowledge of SDWAN, Cloud services, and application requirements over networks
  • Proven experience and expert knowledge of satellite technology, satellite services, and satellite networks specific core components and sub-systems
  • Experience in writing proposals and responding to tenders
  • Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills, interfacing at all levels of customer organisation, and adept at dealing with multiple stakeholders
  • Problem-solving, prioritisation, and analytical ability
  • In possession of an affinity with both sales and technology functions, and a 'commercial' approach
  • Full driving licence
  • Ability to travel within Europe occasionally
