Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional driven individual to lead the team providing Cardiac Physiology Services within the Clinical Investigation Centre, specialising in the field of Complex Diagnostics. The successful candidate will have a proven specialist background in Echocardiology and Non-Invasive Cardiac Physiology Diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement overall standard operational policies and procedures and assist in extending the services provided with Cardiac Physiology.
  • Support specialised consultants in service delivery and resources within a multidisciplinary department, managing the day-to-day performance of their line reporting, creating and maintaining KPIs, and ensuring that project milestones and goals are met.
  • Perform a range of highly specialised cardiac ultrasound investigations, including adult transthoracic, contrast echocardiograms, 3D echocardiograms, dobutamine stress echocardiograms, and assist with transoesophageal echocardiograms.
  • Lead quality assurance in attaining clinical governance standards for Cardiac Physiology and manage Cardiac Physiology audit programmes.
  • Carry out administrative, environmental, and housekeeping tasks as well as having professional responsibility and involvement in organisational and supervisory issues.
  • Assist in syncope assessment including Tilt Table Testing and Autonomic Function Testing.
  • Perform CRM Device interrogations in clinic, inpatients, or in a pre-assessment setting.
  • Maintain an ordered filing and retrieval system and electronic database of patients' recordings.
  • Help with the maintenance of consumable stocks and replenishment.
  • Develop your knowledge, skills, and professionalism, demonstrating evidence of continuous professional development.

Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology or BSc in Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) or PTP equivalence.
  • Transthoracic (TTE) Level 2 accreditation or equivalent certification.
