Join the External Reporting Team at Thermo Fisher Scientific

We are seeking a dedicated individual to become a vital part of our External Reporting Team. This role presents an exciting chance to engage in a growing Global Business Service Centre that emphasizes career advancement and professional growth. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with a team member to ensure precise reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare statutory financial statements for various European legal entities.
  • Oversee and manage external statutory and tax audits in coordination with the Centre of Excellence team, ensuring compliance with the external reporting schedule.
  • Address and resolve technical accounting issues.
  • Complete and coordinate local statistical reporting requirements mandated by authorities.
  • Prepare year-end board presentations and communicate financial performance to stakeholders.
  • Monitor the tax compliance calendar and collaborate with external advisors to ensure timely submission of all returns, tax filings, and payments.
  • Collaborate with the broader team on process improvements (PPI).
  • Engage cross-functionally with finance and non-finance teams, both on-site and remotely.
  • Mentor junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting qualification.
  • A motivated individual with a strong commitment to excellence, detail-oriented with outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exhibit the highest standards of integrity, trust, and compliance orientation.
  • Experience in statutory reporting, management accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with tax returns and year-end reporting is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a large organization is beneficial.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of ERPs (E1, SAP, etc.) is desirable but not essential.
