Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a dedicated professional to become a vital part of our External Reporting Team. This role presents an exciting chance to contribute to a growing Global Business Service Centre that emphasizes career advancement and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

As a member of our team, you will:

  • Prepare statutory financial statements for various European legal entities.
  • Coordinate and oversee external statutory and tax audits in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence team, ensuring compliance with the external reporting schedule.
  • Address and resolve technical accounting issues as they arise.
  • Complete and manage local statistical reporting obligations mandated by authorities.
  • Prepare year-end board presentations and communicate financial performance to stakeholders.
  • Monitor the tax compliance calendar and work with external advisors to ensure timely submission of all returns, tax filings, and payments.
  • Collaborate with the broader team on process improvements (PPI).
  • Engage cross-functionally with finance and non-finance teams, both on-site and remotely.
  • Mentor and support junior team members.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for an individual who possesses:

  • A professional qualification in accounting.
  • A strong passion for success, coupled with high motivation and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, along with strong organizational skills.
  • A commitment to integrity and compliance.
  • Experience in statutory reporting, management accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prior experience with tax returns and year-end reporting is advantageous.
  • Experience in a large-scale organization is beneficial.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A working knowledge of ERPs (E1, SAP, etc.) is desirable but not essential.
