In response to the growing number of young individuals with Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and SEN, we have enhanced our curriculum and expanded our team to provide an exceptional educational experience. We are looking for dedicated professionals to join our Additional Learning Support (ALS) team.

Supporting students is a profoundly fulfilling role, as it allows you to assist them in reaching their academic and personal objectives. You will deliver both educational and emotional guidance to ensure that every student can thrive.

The dynamic nature of a learner support position means that each day presents new challenges and responsibilities. You will encounter various aspects of the curriculum, diverse topics, and unique issues requiring innovative solutions, making it an engaging and varied profession.

Within the learning support framework, you can opt to work either during term time (37 weeks per year) or throughout the entire year (52 weeks). With a minimum commitment of 3 days per week, we offer flexibility in your working pattern, promoting an excellent work-life balance. Senior Learning Support Specialists provide assistance to students in both group settings and on an individual basis, throughout the academic day. Additionally, you will manage a caseload of key students, ensuring they meet course requirements and are prepared for future independence. You will collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the delivery of EHCP requirements and work alongside our SEN officers to facilitate timely reviews and monitor student progress towards their goals.

We are seeking Senior Learning Support Specialists to work between 3 to 5 days a week, during term time or year-round. Please indicate your preferred working pattern in your application.

Candidates should have experience working with young individuals, preferably in an educational context. A positive attitude and a solid educational background, including English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent), are essential. A willingness to pursue further training is also required.
