Job Summary
ZipRecruiter is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering and Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading our maintenance team and ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out in line with our company's Maintenance Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in line with the company's Maintenance Strategy.
- Manage the maintenance team to ensure that the company meets its agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct risk assessments and work-based method statements to ensure that maintenance health and safety is of the highest standard and legally compliant.
- Manage the maintenance team to effectively control site maintenance stock management, including allocation, issuing, and replenishment of stock.
- Assist the management team to ensure full compliance with all relevant legislations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act, and the company's accreditation to recognized integrated management systems (ISOs) and environmental standards.
- Monitor staff attendance, including clocking, lateness, and performance issues, and report to the Operations Manager.
- Manage the supervision and support of both night and weekend shifts, ensuring consistency throughout.
- Undertake any other duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization in line with training and capabilities.
Requirements
- Experience of managing a maintenance team across multiple shifts.
- Previous experience of working in a fast-moving maintenance environment.
- PLC maintenance and fault-finding experience.
- Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and other computer-based programs.
