Key Responsibilities:- Perform daily bookkeeping using Xero accounting software, including invoice processing and bank reconciliations.
- Review bookkeeping work prepared by junior team members.
- Reconcile control accounts.
- Post monthly wages journals.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts to a high standard.
- Prepare and file monthly and quarterly VAT returns under various VAT schemes.
- Prepare and file monthly CIS returns.
- Liaise with clients on queries and submissions.
- Provide training to clients on Xero.
- Undertake other ad-hoc duties as required.
- Recent and relevant bookkeeping experience, including preparing and submitting VAT returns and reconciling control accounts.
- Experience in preparing management accounts is desirable, but training will be provided.
- AAT qualified.
- Xero certified.
- Hands-on, diligent, and able to demonstrate excellent client interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Team player with a strong work ethic and drive.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Salary circa £28,000 - £33,000 per annum depending on experience and qualification status. Negotiable.
- Discretionary annual bonus.
- Full study support, if required.
- Pension scheme.
- 23 days of annual leave (excluding bank holidays), increasing by 1 day per year post-qualification, up to a maximum of 28 days.
